This is honestly one of the best parts of being an RCIC.
A couple came to me feeling stuck.
The husband was working in Canada, managing all the expenses alone.
The wife was on a visitor visa — unable to work and facing the possibility of having to leave Canada soon.
During our consultation, one small but crucial detail changed everything: she is a Spanish national. That opened the door to the IEC Working Holiday pathway — a path they didn’t even know existed.
📍 The timeline says it all:
Profile submitted on 30 January
Invitation received on 2 February
Just 3 days
For first-time IEC applicants from Spain with no third-country residence, the process can be remarkably efficient, allowing families to move forward quickly.
Now, instead of uncertainty, there is relief.
She can work, contribute to the household, and most importantly, the family can stay together in Canada.
Canada has always been about family reunification — sometimes it’s not about eligibility, but about finding the right pathway.
Stories like these are why I do what I do.
Forever hopeful.
