Trade occupations remain one of Canadaβs Express Entry categories for 2026. Under the current category requirements, eligible candidates generally need at least 12 months of full-time work experience, or an equivalent amount of part-time experience, within the past 3 years in a single eligible trade occupation, in Canada or abroad. Candidates must also meet the requirements of an Express Entry program and the particular invitation round.
