“A nice, warm welcoming place with a great vibe,” is how Hannah Snodden (right) describes Lindsay’s Valu-mart. She and husband Graham recently assumed ownership of the downtown grocer. And while their new roles require a lot of paper and administrative work, it’s not uncommon to find the Snoddens on the floor, too! “This morning I was chopping fruit at the salad bar,” says a beaming Hannah, pictured with Wards CEO and executive producer of its community-focused podcast, In Good Company. Adds Hannah about the team at Snodden’s Valu-mart, “We’re a family, here.”

The day their name went up above “Valu-mart” on the sign outside the downtown Lindsay grocer, Hannah and Graham Snoddon admit they barely had time to soak it in. “We’d been here since 5am,” reflects Graham about that busy Christmas season day. But when the Snoddons were finally able to catch their breath and let it sink in......”Yeah, it was a really cool and special moment,” recounts Hannah. “Just super surreal.”
