As I complete this journey around the sun I am reflecting on so many memories and teachings. This year was jammed full of travel, experiences with my family, new friends and opportunities to learn.

So much personal growth and reflection only to find that there's so much more to come.

Very importantly...

To slow down and observe those around us,

To ask more questions rather than jump to conclusion,

To acknowledge that inner voice and try to guide it towards acceptance rather than judgment,

To practice gratitude,

To try not to rush tiny humans through their delays, That it's important to acknowledge feelings, name them and help others feel herd if they express theirs.

We don't need to be the best at things, we just need to be the best at being true to ourselves. When we show up for ourselves in an honest way, everything falls into place.

The importance of understanding that...

If you haven't walked those steps you just can't fathom what that journey is like.

How beautiful it is to witness the journey of others and the differences.

This life is beautiful, messy, and full of tantrums that I don't need to fix.

I witnessed a friend downsize into a carehome. This had me recognize that things won't ever make you happy and that in the end it's only you, your memories and if you're lucky, loved ones. 🫶

It's amazing that in one incredible year I've been able to take in so much. I'm very blessed to have my husband who seems not to have a judgmental bone in his body, unless, I'm dragging him around the kitchen in the most awkwardly led dance moves he never wanted to do. I'm sure there's a little bit of, "How did I get myself into this?!?!" rolling around his brain. 🤣

Hug the people you love. Cherish your memories.

I guess I'm officially on my 38th trip around this beautiful planet and I'm feeling blessed rather than focusing on getting older.

Peace out ✌️🕊️

Key day is always a fun one. There are so many stories that come with a the sale of a house and even more interesting and beautiful human interactions. This home will be brought back to its former glory or better and that's exciting stuff. I can't wait to see what my clients do when they take possession. So many fun personal flares to intrigue and inspire. 🥂 Congratulations to these new islanders. My the islands green trees, dirt trails and ocean views guide this beautiful part of your journey. Homeowners are very hesitant to buy a house once they find out that it still has the dreaded polybutylene pipes. Still, should this raise serious concerns? Should you purchase a home with these pipes anyway?

Purchasing a home shouldn't be discouraged by the presence of polybutylene pipes. If the only thing you don't like about the house is the plumbing, you can always ask the owner to fix it before you buy it or work out a better deal and do the plumbing yourself.

If the pipes in your home are polybutylene, you should replace them with copper or PEX. That will not only stop unexpected water leaks, but it will also make selling the house easier for you in the event that you decide to do so.

A person must register as a registered site (hazardous waste management facility) and obtain approval of plans if they treat, recycle or dispose more than 500 kg of leachable toxic waste in any one-day period or if they store in more than 500 kg of leachable toxic waste generated at another site.

A license to transport (LT) and manifest are required when transporting more than 5 kg of solid hazardous waste, except for the following exemptions:

- Homeowners are exempt from the manifest and LT requirements if they are transporting the wastes to an authorized government or municipal waste management facility
- Generators are exempt from the LT requirements (but not the manifest requirements) if they transport less than 500 kg of leachable toxic waste to any authorized facility.

An early, standardized technique of electrical wiring used in buildings built between around 1880 and the 1940s was known as k**b and tube wiring. The ceramic insulators that hold the wires around the house's curves and beams are the source of the name. Additionally, it is more prevalent in structures with 60-amp service.

K**b and tube (K&T) wiring identification is essential if you want to purchase an older home. There is a substantial risk of fire from this antiquated wiring. However, provided that it is installed and maintained correctly, it can be deemed safe.

If K&T is present in your house, you should consider the following:
- To confirm the switches, wires, connections, and fuses, have an electrician with a license inspect the system.
- Replace every defective circuit that has been covered in insulation, damaged, or improperly modified.
- To improve safety, install an arc fault (AFCI) and ground fault protection (GFCI).
