Late Penalty: A strict, statutory 10% penalty is automatically applied to any unpaid tax balance or unclaimed Home Owner Grant amounts starting Friday, July 3, 2026. The city cannot waive this penalty.

Holiday Warning: City Hall is closed on Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day). Online bank processing can take up to 5 business days, so paying by late June is highly recommended to ensure the funds clear on time.

The basic grant reduces your tax bill by $770.

The additional savings upto $1085 if you qualify
