Just reviewed the latest Rennie Landscape report and wanted to highlight some key takeaways shaping real estate activity in our region:

1. Economy & Rates
The labour market is softening, but inflation is under control. The Bank of Canada is lowering rates, and fixed mortgage rates are normalizing.

2. Credit & Debt
Consumer credit is growing faster than mortgage debt. A wave of mortgage renewals in 2025 could put pressure on household budgets as many face higher rates.

3. Demographics
Canada's largest cities may see a decline in temporary residents. For the Central Okanagan, domestic migration remains the key population driver.

4. Housing Supply
Rental construction is up, but pre-sale and ownership starts have slowed. Developers and investors are hesitant, waiting for more policy and rate clarity.

5. Policy Changes
