May felt a lot like a month of momentum interruptedβprogress, pause, progress, pause. If Iβm being honest, it was frustrating at times, though I suspect that feeling is more common than most of us admit.
It was still a busy month. I prepared two properties for market, secured an exceptional tenant for one of my landlords, and helped my tenant secure a fantastic new home.
We also hosted a successful First-Time Homebuyers Event at our office. Great food, a strong turnout, and even better conversations. Thereβs something incredibly rewarding about connecting with people and discussing their goals, questions, and dreams of homeownership.
Thatβs where the easier part of the story ends.
The listings launched with encouraging signsβstrong marketing, booked showings, and solid attendance at open houses. Yet over the past few weeks, interest has gradually softened, pushing me to think more creatively and adapt to the realities of todayβs market.
And for the first time in a while, there were zero transactions this month.
Real estate isnβt only about numbers, but numbers do tell a story. May wasnβt the chapter I wanted to write, but it provided clarity on where I need to improve, adjust, and focus my energy.
June, Iβm ready for you.
