Feeling fine doesn't always mean you're uninjured.

After an accident, adrenaline can mask pain and symptoms for hours or even days. That's why seeking medical attention as soon as possible is so important.

A medical assessment can help identify injuries early, support your recovery, and create a record of what happened.

If you've been injured in an accident and have questions about your options, we offer free consultations: findlaylaw.ca 🔗

🏈 Through the Defensive Difference Makers program, Findlay Law supports youth initiatives in Hamilton alongside the Tiger-Cats and the John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington & Area.

The impact is tied directly to the game:
$250 is donated for every interception
$500 is donated for every pick-six

These funds help support programs that remove everyday barriers for youth, from transportation to small essentials that make it easier to stay engaged and connected.

It’s a reminder that community support can show up in unexpected places.

A great community is built when people continue to show up for one another.

For the second year, our team was proud to support Walk A Mile in Their Shoes alongside the YWCA Hamilton, helping raise awareness and support survivors while working toward ending gender-based violence.

At Findlay Law, supporting initiatives that create safer, more inclusive spaces for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals is something we care deeply about.

A special thank you to Medora, CEO of YWCA Hamilton, for taking the time to speak with Ryan and our team. It’s always a pleasure learning more about the meaningful impact this event continues to make across Hamilton.

Last week, Ryan met with a client who was hit while cycling.

Because it happened before July 1st, he’s still receiving income replacement benefits while unable to work.

Starting July 1st, that same support may no longer be available for cyclists, pedestrians, and scooter riders injured in a motor vehicle accident who don’t have their own car insurance.

And for many people, there’s no alternative coverage available to replace it.

It’s a change most people don’t know is coming.

If you’ve been injured in an accident or want to understand how these changes could affect you, our team is here to help. Visit findlaylaw.ca 🔗

Most distracted driving accidents don’t happen because someone intended to be careless.

They happen in ordinary moments.
Checking directions.
Replying quickly.
Looking down “for just a second.”

But for the person on the receiving end of that moment, the impact can last far longer than anyone expected.

An injury affects more than recovery. It can affect work, routine, family, and day-to-day life in ways people never planned for.

Yesterday was a reminder of what community really looks like. 💛

Our team was proud to attend Walk a Mile in Her Shoes in support of creating a safer, more inclusive Hamilton for girls, women, and gender-diverse individuals.

The turnout was incredible, the energy was powerful, and the message was clear: everyone deserves to feel safe in our community.

A huge thank you to the YWCA Hamilton for the work they continue to do and for bringing so many people together for such an important cause. We had a blast!
