Port To Port Immigration Services is searching for experienced Landscapers for seasonal work in Canada.

Must be proficient with the following:
• Lawn mowing equipment (push mowers, ride-on mowers, w**d trimmers)
• Garden tools (spades, hoes, shovels, trowels)
• Tools for tree and shrub care (pruners, hedge cutters, loppers)

Responsibilities:
• Perform upkeep & basic maintenance of existing landscaping by pruning, trimming, w**ding, gardening, mowing the lawn and applying fertilizer.
• Use knowledge of different types of grasses to identify and treat any diseases as well as to lay sod, pick w**ds and lay mulch. Upon a diagnosis, landscape technicians apply appropriate sprays to address pests, fungi, or other problems
• Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Apply knowledge of which types of plants and trees will thrive in specific soil conditions and climates. Prune trees and bushes, remove dead branches, and assess any potential diseases or conditions causing issues with existing foliage.
• Experience operating a sod cutter, tiller, and other landscaping machinery with care taken to use appropriate PPE.
• Design Walkways, pathways and garden areas. Lay slate, brick, or other types of walkways and create attractive garden areas using plants, flowers, and ornaments. Erect bridges, arrange stepping stones, place decorative garden sculptures, and set up water fountains.
• Perform aquascaping, including installation and repair of residential irrigation systems, fountains, and water features.

Job Duties:
• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist trades-persons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities
