I'm loving this darker muted purple and soft green palette from Benjamin Moore. I don't believe in decorating for the next person who lives in your home, but this is a perfect colour choice if you're thinking of listing in the next few years but want to enjoy your space in the meantime. It's neutral without sacrificing personality.

If you're not sure what upgrades you can make to increase the value of a home that you know isn't forever, send me a DM. There's no reason you can't enjoy your right-now home to the fullest.

I don’t believe that real estate decisions should feel rushed.

For homeowners who have made intentional choices (whether around sustainability, efficiency, or long-term livability), the selling process should reflect that same level of care they put into upgrading their home.

My approach is simple:
1. Provide clear information
2. Explain options honestly
3. Let clients decide what best suits their needs

Pressure always creates opportunity for regret. Clarity and knowledge create confidence.

Reach me directly at [email protected] or 902-209-4598 to book a time to chat about how to meet your goals.

📍10 Caudle Park Crescent
3 Bed | 1 Bath | 1,447 sqft. | $399,000

This home has been filled with love, laughter, and everyday moments that created lifelong memories, and now it's ready for new people to make it their own. 10 Caudle Park Crescent is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow in a quiet neighbourhood in Lower Sackville, just 20 minutes from downtown.

The living room has a working wood fireplace, which will keep the main floor warm and cozy through the fall and winter (and partway through the spring, if we're being honest about Nova Scotia weather). The main level has a large eat-in kitchen, three bedrooms, and a bathroom recently updated with a new tub surround. The roof was replaced in 2024, and several of the windows are new, meaning this home is ready to move in and make it your own before the winter sets in.

The lower level is mostly finished. There's room for a family room plus a home gym or office, and there's still a large separate storage area, so you don't have to give up storage to get the extra living space. The property is zoned R-2. The large, lot has an apple tree, blackberry bushes, perennial gardens and an herb garden.

The house is close to the main routes in and out of Sackville making commuting easy, and your groceries, schools, shopping and parks are nearby for daily errands or catching up with friends over coffee. Four bus routes stop within 400 metres. Downtown is 20 minutes away for weekends enjoying the waterfront downtown, and the highway is close for day trips and weekends away.

Book a viewing before its gone.

When I sit down to chat about home goals, buyers often talk about the bedrooms, the backyard, the garage, the flex room in the basement for family hangouts.

My unpopular opinion: the only non-negotiable when it comes to finding your dream home is the neighbourhood.

Buyers often fall for a kitchen or a primary bedroom and treat the neighbourhood as an afterthought. The house is the part you can change. You can change flooring or renovate a kitchen. You can’t change the location once you’ve moved in.

Before you commit to a home, get to know the neighbourhood. Drive the commute at the time you would actually have to drive it, not during light weekend traffic. Walk to the nearest grocery store and see how far it is. If schools or future development matter to you, check the municipality's planning site for anything proposed nearby.

Now that we’re in a balanced market in Halifax, you have a little more breathing room to make those decisions.

And if you aren’t sure what neighbourhood to be looking in, that’s where an experienced real estate agent comes in. Send me a DM if you aren’t sure where to start your search.
