There’s someone out in Red Deer that is using law firm names to try and fraud people into giving them “bond money.”

Luckily the two individuals so far have done their own digging and contacted the office.

If you get a suspicious call asking for money because your mom, sister, brother, nephew or whoever is in custody always make sure to call the office of the person they’re claiming it is. I would hate to see someone scammed like this.

REASONS TO GET A PARDON

• Obtaining or Losing a Job
In many fields of work a criminal record check is required, and although it may have been many, many years since you have committed an offence it can be the deciding factor of if the company will hire you, or another candidate. It also doesn’t provide you immunity to future criminal record checks which can result in a loss of employment.

• Self-Employment
Although you may work for yourself, you are still hired as an independent contractor to complete work, in some cases, you may be asked to complete a criminal record check before being hired to do the job.

• Immigration
If you are in Canada and hoping to complete an application to have family members come to Canada with you, your application is likely to be rejected if you have a criminal record.

• Home rentals
Many places that you may apply to rent now require criminal record checks, and may decide to rent to another applicant who does not have a criminal record

• Peace of Mind
Removing your criminal record is a large part of removing the stigma and shame associated with a criminal past. You may know that it was a mistake that you will never do again, but the people around you may not know that.

And many more..

There are so many different reasons that someone may require a pardon, and all of these reasons can impact your way of life in one way or another.

I’m always available for any questions you may have and to see if getting a pardon would be the right move for you.

Are you eligible for a Record Suspension/Pardon?

AFTER the completion of your prison sentence, probation and/or fine payments if your matter was prosecuted Summarily the waiting period is 5 years. These charges are typically less serious.

If your matter proceeded by indictment, a more serious offence, the waiting period before you can apply for a Record Suspension/Pardon is 10 years.

You are NOT ELIGIBLE for a Pardon:

If you have been convicted of a Schedule 1 Offence. These are typically sexual offences against involving a minor.

OR

You have been convicted of more than three offences prosecuted by indictment, each with a sentence of two years or more.

If you have any questions about your waiting period, or your conviction, send me a message. I'm more than happy to chat.

Hello friends,

As some of you may know, I have been working in Criminal Defence for almost SIX years now - crazy how much time flies.

One of the tasks that has fallen heavily on me over the last six years is completing Record Suspension Applications AKA Pardons.

If you hire a lawyer or a third party company to complete your Pardon Application, you usually will pay anywhere from $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 for the completion of the application, but I understand that sometimes that's just not doable for some individuals.

Therefore I am offering my services to assist you in completing your Application for a flat fee of $550.00 inclusive of GST and Disbursements (Court Fees, Filing Fee, etc).

I don't believe that one silly mistake should be the deciding factor to your future, and I don't think you should have to go broke to get the help you need.

Please feel free to message me any time to discuss your matter, and lets see if you're eligible for a Pardon.
