If you’ve ever been asked to log off and “just complete a few more things,” you should know: unpaid off-the-clock work is illegal.
Whether it’s staying late to close up, answering emails after your shift, or completing admin tasks after logging off, every minute worked must be paid. Being pressured to work without logging your hours isn’t teamwork, it’s a direct wage violation.
Employers are legally obligated to compensate you for all hours worked. If unpaid work is a regular practice in your workplace, you may be entitled to recover unpaid wages.
Protect your rights and your paycheck.
