Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Today is about all the moms who loved us through every stage, from scraped knees to grown-up problems, and never really stopped mothering for a second.

It is also such a gift to look at your own daughters, now grown, and see the women they have become. Strong, beautiful, kind, and still somehow your babies.

For many, today is also bittersweet. Missing a mom who is no longer here never really goes away, and holidays have a way of making that space feel a little louder. Sending love to those holding memories close today. 🤍

The first deal I did at HPC 20 years ago was with a company that has grown to become an international healthcare provider. They continue to innovate and provide important services to a variety of patients.

Now they are creating a larger space at the building in collaboration with one of our major hospitals to bring a new service to people with a certain chronic illness. I can't wait to share more (once they give me the go ahead) but I can tell you this: it will make a huge difference in the lives of the people experiencing this particular affliction.

Children’s Book Day is a beautiful reminder that reading does far more than teach literacy. It builds imagination, strengthens critical thinking, and shapes curious, confident adults.

Alan I have raised a couple of readers; the bookshelves in our home prove it. It's gotten worse since our youngest daughter started working at Indigo!

Do you remember your favourite book from childhood? I read Charlotte's Web at the beginning of every summer. The book was at our cottage so I knew it was officially vacation when I could sit and read it again.
