It's official! The rest of BC has finally decided to stick to one year round time zone! See the full story here: https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2026CITZ0009-001073

BC has a new time zone abbreviation: PCT.

PCT stands for Pacific Time, BC’s single year-round time zone. It replaces PST and PDT, which were the seasonal clock changes that are no longer in effect.

A consistent abbreviation will make it easier for businesses, governments, technology providers and the public to refer to BC’s time zone in schedules, systems and communications.

And when November comes around, there’s no need to fall back. The clocks will stay the same.
