A bit more of an introduction of Charlie.
Thursday I got an emergency email from Kitty Cat Pals asking if I could take in a puppy, Of course I said yes!! I was aware he had a rough beginning but had no idea just how scared he really was. He was found with 2 siblings in the forest near tofino living off the land with no human contact. When we first picked him up he was absolutely terrified. We couldn't walk near him or touch him with out him hiding in his kennel. We all walked around slow and kept our voices down to try and keep him out of his kennel. Over the last few days I've been working hard at gaining his trust and can now walk him on the leash about 50-100 feet however as soon as he sees a human he tries to run into the house. I'm finally able to pet him almost every time and when he lays down I can usually walk past him without him getting up and hiding. He now talks to me when I get home from work and is such a happy boy. One thing Charlie has shown me is that consistency and love can change a life. 💞
