We believe in fair billing with full disclosure of rates. Our policy is no surprises. You are the client and you deserve to be treated with respect. We want you to feel in control of your legal proceedings, fully satisfied with the outcomes, and completely confident about enthusiastically recommending our services to your friends and family in the future. Please don’t hesitate to ask us about our billing practices. Here’s what you can expect:
Typically we will charge fees based on the time a lawyer spends working on your matter. This may include time spent meeting with you, gathering information, responding to emails and phone calls, researching the issue, forming our opinion and drafting necessary documents. From the first time we meet we will discuss the estimated time it will take and provide you with an estimate of what fee you can expect, based on the time we expect to invest. For certain services we have a standard range of fees that we charge instead of an hourly rate. The fees may be subject to change based on the complexity of your situation but we will make sure there are no surprises. Some of these services include Wills, Powers of Attorney, Real Estate Transactions, and some corporate transactions. In some cases, we may agree to take on your case on a Contingency Fee Agreement. This is when the lawyer only gets paid if the claim is successful and by taking a percentage of the settlement or judgment. Our personal injury team is often paid on a contingency basis and offers free consultations. This allows the client to receive legal services without putting any money down as a retainer. Contact Us
