As a professional in the immigration sector, I personally receive so many calls and messages from aspiring immigrants from India who are reluctant to hire professionals from Canada just because we charge them professional fees in CAD which turns out to be expensive when converted in INR.
Because it is expensive according to them, they turn to “consultants” or “agents” in India who either do study permits for free or visas at a cheaper cost. Not realizing that while trying to get free services or cheaper options will land them with a ban for misrepresentation because the applicant had no clue what was submitted at the time of application.
It is very easy to get free advice or get ripped off by unauthorized representatives. It is even harder to challenge misrepresentation when the applicants trust these so called “agents” and “consultants” blindly.
Finally, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada / Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada has covered a crucial point that I personally have been advocating to those who call me or reach out to me for advice.
