Warning. SCAM. Someone in MY household just "fell" for this! Scam artists are pretending to be Canadian Government handing out refunds. They ask you to provide ALL of your details, SIN, Credit Card, Bank card number and Passwords etc. It all looked fairly legit and she filled it all out and sent it to the SCAMMERS. Please know that CRA will not ask you to email them... they will ask you to login securely to the official CRA website. We are in the process of changing everything with the bank now. The heading in the email looked something like this:

Redfearn Family Law Professional Corporation is delighted to announce that Stuart Redfearn J.D. has joined the firm as an Articling Student.

Stuart received his law degree from The University of British Columbia in 2018. Rather than article immediately, Stuart began to work in the new and exciting regulated retail cannabis industry including in an analyst role with Canopy Growth Corp. Stuart returned to live in Ontario this spring and has decided to take the necessary steps to be called to the Ontario Bar. He will write the Bar Exams when pandemic rules permit. Stuart will be assisting with all Family Law and Wills and Estates, and he will continue to pursue his interest in consulting with businesses and individuals sharing his knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry.
