Harinder Singh Gahir has been practicing law in Ontario since 2000. He also served as a Vice-Chair of the Licence Appeal Tribunal and as a Chair of the Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security Review Tribunal. These adjudicative roles reflect his extensive experience in administrative decision-making and public law.
Mr. Gahir’s background in mediation has equipped him with the skills to resolve disputes collaboratively and efficiently wherever possible. Where negotiated resolution is not feasible, his experience as an adjudicator and arbitrator enables him to approach matters with objectivity, fairness, and a principled understanding of stakeholder interests.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. In 2019, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Osgoode Hall Law School, further strengthening his academic and professional foundation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gahir has successfully represented clients before numerous tribunals and courts, including the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, and the Federal Court of Canada. His areas of practice include Corporate and Commercial Law, Commercial and Development Real Estate, Administrative Law, and complex immigration matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gahir has been actively involved in professional and community leadership. He has served as a Board Member of the Peel Law Association, President of the Peel Multicultural Council, and Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association, Immigration Section (Southern Alberta).
Since his call to the Bar, Mr. Gahir has remained committed to serving the community. He views success not merely in professional achievements, but in the number of individuals and families he has been able to assist throughout his career.
Apart from professional commitments, Mr. Gahir enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is also an avid traveler with a passion for exploring new cultures and destinations.
