🚨 COQ 50 POINTS — expected changes? IRCC’s Express Entry consultation proposes limiting Certificate of Qualification points to Red Seal designated trades only.

Key nuance most people miss: this would NOT exclude non-Red Seal trade workers from being selected. It rewards those fully certified — or on their way — in a trade with a national standard. Provincial/territorial certificates for Red Seal trades would still count.

⚠️ This is a PROPOSAL, not a current rule. Today’s COQ points are unchanged.

New Brunswick Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) Update — Effective October 14, 2026!
Great news for eligible workers in retail, sales and other occupations looking for a pathway to Canadian Permanent Residence! 🇨🇦
Immigration New Brunswick has removed additional occupation restrictions under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), opening potential opportunities for more candidates.
✅ Occupations that may now be considered include:
🛒 NOC 60020 – Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers
🏬 NOC 62010 – Retail Sales Supervisors
💼 NOC 62101 – Retail and Wholesale Buyers
🛍️ NOC 64100 – Retail Salespersons and Visual Merchandisers
⚠️ The following occupations remain excluded:
❌ NOC 14400 – Shippers and Receivers
❌ NOC 60030 – Restaurant and Food Service Managers
❌ NOC 62020 – Food Service Supervisors
