Vinny the Office Dog is excited !! In person hearings are happening again at the Barrie Courthouse. I attended a settlement conference yesterday !! I also have an in person trial happening in December.

July I was in person at the Newmarket POA court, talk about things feeling good to be in front of real folks.

Court Life is slowly returning to pre Pandemic in person attendance with some modifications.

Vinny the Office Dog is looking for your help finding a very dear friend of one of JVH Paralegal's clients.

This is Mr. Max he's now almost 13 years old and was with his owners from the time he was 6 weeks old, and was for very sad reasons removed from his owner's home. His daddy died a few years ago and his mummy had to work very hard to make money to pay the mortgage on their house. Unfortunately Mr. Max's mummy was forced to sell her home and was hospitalized last year for several weeks. In the mean time Animal Welfare Services removed Mr. Max from the people who were caring for him and put him up for adoption. Mr. Max's mummy tried so hard to tell AWS that she had money coming from the sale of the house, but AWS adopted Mr. Max out before she could pay the fees that were associated with Mr. Max's boarding and vet check up.

Now his mummy is back on her feet, she has a place to live, and would like to find out where Mr. Max is now living. She just wants to be part of his life, Mr. Max was there for her when his daddy died, and when mummy was trying to cope. Mr. Max's mummy understands that AWS cannot provide details for privacy reasons, but is hoping that someone recognizes Mr. Max and will reach out. She just wants to see him and try and be part of his life. Mr. Max deserves to know his mummy didn't abandon him. That she was in the hospital when AWS took Mr. Max.

It’s the weekend … Vinny the Office Dog is exhausted from his week! The courts are back at it. Motions are being heard at the Small Claims Court and most recently in person trials are being scheduled at the Barrie Court house.

Some Tribunals are slowly getting back to more normalized pace.
The LTB waits are still long but e-filing and using the Portal are simple and easy.

Vinny the Office Dog wants to update all you Landlords and Tenants, evictions are now allowed to be scheduled again. Tenants if you’re having difficulties because of COVID related financial issues, talk with your Landlord. Landlords work with your tenants, come up with a payment schedule.
