Another WSIB win worth sharing ✔️

We are pleased to have successfully secured a Non-Economic Loss (NEL) award for a client following the acceptance of a Permanent Impairment (PI) related to a workplace injury.

What does this mean?

👉When WSIB determines that a workplace injury results in lasting impairment, it assigns a percentage rating to reflect the degree of permanent functional impact. That rating is then used to calculate a lump-sum NEL benefit intended to recognize the long-term effects of the injury on an individual’s quality of life.

📋These determinations are based on medical evidence and the WSIB’s rating system and guidelines. The outcome can vary significantly depending on how the impairment is assessed and documented.

👋🏻With so many new followers, I wanted to take the opportunity to reintroduce myself.

My husband and I moved to the Ottawa Valley shortly after we got married, and we’ve loved calling Arnprior home ever since. Since then, our family has grown by two boys — Our 5-year-old, Noah, and our most recent addition, Jacob 🩵 — along with our German Shepherds. Life these days is a mix of busy, loud, and full in the best way.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me at the rink cheering on our little hockey player in the winter, or at the lake in the summer.

On the professional side, I help individuals and small businesses navigate legal matters in a way that feels clear, approachable, and manageable — because I know how overwhelming it can be otherwise.
