Peter Unruh and Andrew Zacharias acted for the plaintiff who was in her mid-twenties when she suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, orthopedic fractures and psychological injuries after being involved in a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing symptoms suffered by the plaintiff she was unable to pursue her dreams of becoming a teacher and she required and would continue to require extensive and intrusive medical treatments.

At trial the plaintiff achieved an award for compensation of $3,114,117.15 which was approximately $1,000,000 higher than ICBC’s pre-trial formal offer.
