2021 is already a year that represents a watershed. I could mention at least two reasons that, incredibly, are going unnoticed in my country Brazil. No, I won't talk about covid. The first one is the presentation for the first time on a more open scale of the metaverse. Zuckerberg gave a presentation of over an hour on what he believes to be the future of humanity in what would be a new universe, virtual and hybrid, where we would move to a new scale in learning, remote work, games, relationships. How about studying history personally going to the Middle Age in a virtual and realistic environment? Or study geography visiting, without leaving the classroom, Europe, or biology seeing and interacting with an insect in enlarged size and 3d reality, as if it were real? For those who are not familiar with the cyberpunk universe (lol), it might be worth seeing the presentation. 2021, the year we first heard about metaverse. Another component that stood out this year also concerns the universe, but this time the real one. Never more than in 2021 have we seen private companies dominate the space exploration news. Space X (Elon Musk), Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos) and Virgin Galactic (Richard Branson) are rewriting the space race and we are seeing civilians going into space, reusable rockets and a race to get to Mars, in a theme we had the impression of being stopped since the last century. Musk, by the way, who is making humanity stride forward, must be the "first trillionaire on the planet", not thanks to Tesla, but to SpaceX, in the words of analysts at Morgan Stanley. All the names I mentioned are changing the world. Let's see if they are visionaries, gamblers or something else.

2021 já é um ano que representa um divisor de águas. Poderia citar ao menos dois motivos que, incrivelmente, estão passando despercebidos no Brasil. Não, não irei falar de covid.
O primeiro é a apresentação pela primeira vez em uma escala mais aberta do metaverso. Zuckerberg fez uma apresentação de mais de uma hora sobre o que ele acredita ser o futuro da humanidade neste que seria um novo universo, virtual e híbrido, onde avançaríamos para uma nova escala em aprendizagem, trabalho remoto, games, relacionamentos. Que tal estudar história indo pessoalmente à idade média em um ambiente virtual e realístico ? Ou estudar geografia visitando, sem sair da sala de aula, a Europa, ou ainda biologia vendo e interagindo com um inseto em tamanho aumentado e realidade 3d, como se fosse real? Para quem não é familiarizado com o universo cyberpunk (rs), talvez valha a pena ver a apresentação. 2021, o ano que pela primeira vez ouvimos falar de metaverso.
Outro componente que apenas se destacou este ano também diz respeito a universo, mas desta vez o real. Nunca como em 2021 vimos as empresas privadas dominarem os noticiários da exploração espacial. Space X (Elon Musk), Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos) e Virgin Galactic (Richard Branson), estão reescrevendo a corrida espacial e estamos vendo civis indo ao espaço, foguetes reaproveitáveis e uma corrida para se chegar em marte, em tema que tínhamos a impressão de estar parado desde o século passado. Musk, por sinal, que está fazendo a humanidade avançar a passos largos, deve ser o “primeiro trilionário do planeta”, não graças à Tesla, mas a SpaceX, nas palavras dos analistas da Morgan Staney.
Todos os nomes que citei estão mudando o mundo, enquanto no Brasil ficamos eternamente na discussão de nossa bipolaridade política.
