The Language Movement demonstrated that political systems ignoring cultural identity face long-term legitimacy challenges.

This dynamic remains relevant globally — where language continues to influence constitutional reform, minority protections, and social cohesion.

In 1971, Bangladesh emerged — uniquely named after its language.

A geopolitical outcome rooted in linguistic dignity.

International Mother Language Day, recognized by UNESCO, is therefore not symbolic for us.

It is foundational history.

We remember the martyrs.

We reaffirm that identity and sovereignty are inseparable.
