From 3rd November 2024 onwards, the Embassy of Japan will entrust VFS Global with the facilitation of the Japan visa application process. The Embassy of Japan will no longer accept visa applications directly since from the visa applicants 3rd November 2024.

1 VFS Service Fee will be charged.
2 Visa examination period
The standard processing period, assuming the application content is complete, is 7 working days from the date of application submission to VFS Global to the earliest issuance of the visa. If the application is submitted with incomplete documents, the processing time will be extended. Therefore, it is advisable to thoroughly review all required documents prior to your application. Moreover, for cases
necessitating comprehensive document examination, the processing time may span several months. Hence, it is recommended to apply for the visa well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
3. Visa Fees
Free for Bangladeshi nationals. For other nationals, please contact with the Embassy of Japan.
4 Diplomatic/Official Passport holders who are applying for Diplomatic/Official visa applicants, and some specific category applicants should contact the Embassy in advance.
We kindly urge applicants to refrain from requesting special treatment for direct acceptance of their applications at the Embassy. To maintain impartiality, such requests cannot be accommodated.
