Since I was a child, I’ve always seen my parents and relatives telling me, “Don’t do this, don’t do that.” Even then, I managed to do many things despite all those restrictions.

But even after growing up and becoming 18+, when the person I love also starts saying, “You can’t do this, you can’t do that,” it makes me wonder—am I supposed to live my entire life surrounded by restrictions?

If I never take risks in life, and if someone is always holding me back from making my own decisions, then how am I ever supposed to achieve something on my own?

To achieve something in life, sometimes you have to take risks. You might make mistakes, you might fail, but you still need the freedom to live your life on your own terms. Because if you keep hearing “don’t do this, don’t do that” your entire life, eventually even your dreams start to feel impossible.
