Ferdows Hossen is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and the Managing Partner of Just Legal Ltd., a law firm specializing in intellectual property, technology, data, and AI governance. He has over eight years of experience advising on intellectual property, technology law, constitutional issues, regulatory compliance, and cross-border legal matters, with a particular focus on the inter
section between law, technology, and public policy. He is a U.S.-trained lawyer, holding an LL.M. from Northeastern University School of Law, and has also completed executive legal education at Harvard Law School. (Honours) from the University of Dhaka. His professional work spans intellectual property, technology regulation, constitutional law, and the legal governance of emerging technologies. Ferdows began his professional journey in legal journalism, working as a court reporter for The ATN Times and The Daily Manobkantha, where he reported on legal developments and court proceedings. This experience strengthened his ability to analyze and communicate complex legal matters to diverse audiences. He has authored and presented research in intellectual property, technology law, and constitutional law, with his work recognized by academic and professional institutions in South Asia and beyond. His research has been featured in journals including the Commonwealth Law Review Journal, South Asian Law Review Journal, and the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research. He has received international recognition for his contributions to intellectual property law, including being named a Top 25 IP Rising Star by Digital Confex. Ferdows is the founder of HuTech Rights, a pro bono legal initiative dedicated to protecting women and children from online abuse and technology-facilitated harm. Through this initiative, he works at the intersection of human rights, technology governance, and access to justice. Alongside his legal and academic work, Ferdows is an established literary writer. He is the author of a Bengali novel and a poetry collection exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence, humanity, and society. He currently serves as Associate Editor of Meghchil, a leading Bengali literary magazine. Before founding and leading Just Legal Ltd., Ferdows served as a Senior Associate at Dhaka Legal, an intellectual property law firm, and earlier practiced corporate and regulatory law at Legum Consultants Limited and MAK & Associates Inc., with experience in corporate, tax, VAT, and customs matters. He has also served as a panel lawyer and legal consultant to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. He is a member in good standing of multiple Bar Associations in Bangladesh, including the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association.
