Glad to see the NSW Court of Appeal upheld this decision in what was described by Judges as the 'worst case of malicious prosecution in the State's history'

One-time William Tyrrell suspect Bill Spedding will be paid $1.5m in damages after the state failed to overturn a judgment that found he was the subject of the state’s “worst case” of malicious prosecution.

I heard a solicitor on the radio this morning say that warning signs would prevent a claim being made on behalf of a child injured at this park. That's not a cut and dried legal position. If the park was negligently constructed a warning sign won't necessarily be good enough for Council to avoid liability for an injured child. Depends on the facts.

Since the park opened at the start of the year dozens of parents have reported broken bones, facial fractures and burns.

Harsh new laws affecting NSW drivers are about to come into force: Know your options.
As of 20 May 2019 anyone caught drink driving at any level, including low range drink driving (0.05 – 0.079) or driving with an illicit drug present in their blood, will have their licence suspended on-the-spot by police for a period of 3 months. They will also be fined $561. If this happens to you it is important to know that you have options; you can make an urgent application for appeal against the licence suspension and you can elect to have your penalty notice heard by a court. Given that more than half the people who currently come before the courts in NSW with their first low range drink driving offence do not receive any period of suspension or any fine, it may well be in your interests to have your matter heard by a court.
