SAM MAHER - Law Clerk

Sam is a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) student at the University of Wollongong and is currently preparing a thesis in the estate litigation space.

Since joining Hansons, Sam has primarily been involved in our commercial litigation team, working closely with Peter Bahlmann and Teejae Keeble. He enjoys the challenge of solving complex and dynamic legal issues, with a focus on communicating in plain English that is clear and practical.

Outside the office, Sam plays cricket in the summer and football in the winter. He has recently started jiu-jitsu, where he spends a considerable amount of time figuring out what not to do.

Jaime holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. She has gained experience across all aspects of deceased estate matters and developed a strong interest in the areas of conveyancing, property law and estate planning.

Jaime is committed to providing clear and practical advice while striving to make complex legal issues easy to understand for her clients.

Outside of work, Jaime enjoys being at the beach, reading and spending time with family. She is also fluent in Macedonian.

Teejae holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of Wollongong, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.

Teejae is also the Young Lawyers Representative of the Wollongong & District Law Society

Since joining Hansons, Teejae has gained valuable experience across a broad range of legal areas. He has developed his practice primarily in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, wills and estates, and estate litigation, demonstrating his passion for problem-solving and effective dispute resolution.

Beyond the office, Teejae has a diverse range of interests. He is a keen sportsman who enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports, and he also spends his time playing guitar and reading.

NICHOLAS KYRIAKOUDES - Solicitor

Nicholas completed his law degree with distinction locally at the University of Wollongong in 2021. Nicholas was admitted as a lawyer in 2022. Nicholas has an understanding of working with a variety of different people having previously worked as a sports and recreation worker at the Disability Trust and as a football referee.

Since beginning work at Hansons, Nicholas has gained experience in the areas of civil disputes, debt recovery, wills and estate planning, leasing, and asset protection. Nicholas is passionate about representing his client’s interests and finds enjoyment in resolving disputes.

Nicholas enjoys the problem solving involved in legal issues especially when novel or unique facts are involved. Nicholas also enjoys explaining legal issues to clients and assisting others when trying to come to practical solutions to complex issues.

Brighid holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong and a graduate diploma of legal practice from the College of Law. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales as well as the High Court of Australia.

Brighid enjoys solving legal problems and undertaking legal research, having received an award for legal research from the University of Wollongong during her studies. She has also had articles she contributed to published in Bar News.

Brighid is passionate about the areas of conveyancing, property law and wills and estates. She enjoys making the process as clear and straightforward as possible for her clients, understanding that any legal matter can be daunting.

Anna joined the firm in March 2002 and became a partner in July 2007. She is justifiably proud of the fact that she is one of the few female partners in Wollongong.

PETER BAHLMANN - Partner

Peter Bahlmann has been admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales since 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) as well as a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology.

Peter commenced practice in one of the regions oldest and most respected legal firms and gained a solid grounding in all areas of general practice. In 2003 he commenced practice in his own right in partnership and established his strong client base in Wollongong. Peter’s practice has evolved with a commercial, estate planning focus and estate litigation.

From 2009 – 2014 Peter was the Chairman of the Wollongong Hawks, the region’s only national league sporting team. During that period he also served as a Commissioner of the National Basketball League for 2 years.
