At least 6.5 million Australians risk having their superannuation paid to someone other than their intended beneficiary.
Only one in four Australians are confident they have a legally binding nomination in place for their superannuation, while more than a third have not made any nomination at all.
Although commonly used, non-binding nominations may not ensure a person’s wishes are followed if a dispute occurs.
If you’re unsure whether your superannuation nomination reflects your intentions, get in touch with me on 0418 117 355 or visit my website at www.saultlawgroup.com.au to discuss your options and ensure your wishes are clearly documented.
