Great CPD BY Kayte Lewis at today on “Binding Financial Agreements- when are they binding, when are they not and when can they be overturned?”

It’s great to be going to events in person and meeting other practitioners.

Scam alert

SCAM ALERT: We’re aware of a circulating messaging app scam where scammers are posing as a relative, usually son or daughter of the victim.

How it works: The scammer will often say they’ve broken their phone and are using a new number. They will then ask for urgent assistance to pay for a bill or similar expense. These funds are usually requested via bank transfer or a card transaction.

How to stay CommBank Safe: If you receive one of these messages DO NOT PAY ANY BILLS OR SEND MONEY. Instead call the person who is requesting the money on their usual number to confirm it’s real.

If you believe you have fallen victim to this scam, message us in the CommBank app.
