Do you know what documents you should disclose and/or are entitled to receive from your former partner in Family Law Matters?

Disclosure has been a persistent issue in family law matters for years. Recent changes to the Family Law Act have attempted to address this issue by strengthening the law around disclosure.

These obligations extend to both parenting and financial matters and are an essential part of the Family Law process.

If you require assistance navigating the complexities of disclosure, please contact us on 07 3207 7663 or [email protected] to enquire about an appointment.

A solicitor who is an accredited specialist is regarded as having superior knowledge, skills, and expertise in a certain area of law.

To obtain a family law specialist accreditation, the solicitor must be a practicing family law solicitor for 5 years and undertake the accreditation course.

The accreditation course is highly difficult and consists of examinations, client interviews and assignments.

If you would like assistance with your family law matter with the advice of an experienced accredited specialist, please contact us on 07 3207 7633 or email [email protected] to enquire about an appointment.

The purpose of a Child Impact Report is to provide information about the needs and experiences of the children in the early stages of proceedings.

The reports generally focus on issues such as the presence of risk factors, the children’s development, the children’s views (if age appropriate) and their relationships.

If you require assistance navigating the Child Impact Report process, please call reception on 07 3207 7663 or email [email protected] to enquire about an appointment.

A binding financial agreement is a document that can be entered into between parties prior to a relationship commencing or during a relationship. It can provide for how the parties assets are divided in the unfortunate event of separation.

A binding financial agreement can also be used post separation to divide party’s assets and deal with spousal maintenance.

A binding financial agreement can be an effective tool to protect assets brought into a relationship, and in our experience is the most common reason why parties will enter into such an agreement.

If you require assistance with a binding financial agreement, please call reception on 07 3207 7663 or email [email protected] to book an appointment.
