24/7 service takes a team of superstars to ensure that we are available when you need us.

Our latest addition to the Smart Coast Family is Leonie Hillier, whose career journey started at just 17 as a medical secretary, before she packed her bags at 22 and headed to England, where she discovered her passion for law.

Fast-forward through years of hard work, determination and working her way up from legal secretary to paralegal, and Leonie proudly became a Licensed Conveyancer in 2017! 🎓

Fun fact: Leonie first met our very own Kellie Cary while studying at Macquarie University. Who knew they'd end up working together as part of the Smart Coast family?!

But there's more to Leonie than contracts and settlements!

She loves camping and adventures with her partner and daughter.

🐕 Enjoys long walks with the family dog.

Has actually ABSEILED DOWN A WATERFALL! (Clearly, conveyancing wasn't thrilling enough!)

🎤 And give this woman a microphone and some karaoke... GOOD LUCK getting it back! 😂

What we love most about Leonie is her genuine passion for helping people achieve their dreams. Having worked her way up herself, she knows the value of hard work, encouragement and having someone believe in you.

That's exactly the kind of heart, experience and energy we love having on our team! 💙 If you want an experienced conveyancer that makes you feel like you are valued, give Leonie a call 02 6519 4933.

Thinking about buying an investment property through your SMSF?

The rules have changed.

The Federal Government has announced reforms that will restrict new borrowing through Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) for residential property purchases. Existing arrangements are expected to be grandfathered, but many Australians planning to invest this way may now need to rethink their strategy.

Supporters say the changes could improve housing affordability. Critics argue SMSFs make up only a small percentage of the housing market and question whether the reforms will have any real impact.

What do you think?

Will these changes influence your investment decisions or retirement plans? Do you believe they’ll make housing more affordable, or simply reduce opportunities for Australians trying to build wealth for retirement?

We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

As a business owner, I never thought a cyber attack would happen to me.

Unfortunately, it did.

The impact was significant, the response initiative costing in excess of $15,000 and it was a powerful reminder that cyber security is not something any business can afford to overlook.

Luckily for Smart Coast, our IT Managed services provider .. The Beach Geek ensured our clients and data were safe and protected from a security breach or the situation would have been disastrous.

If you own a business, I encourage you to take a few minutes to complete a cyber health check and make sure your business is protected before you need it.

Prevention is always easier than recovery.
