Thinking about buying an investment property through your SMSF?

The rules have changed.

The Federal Government has announced reforms that will restrict new borrowing through Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) for residential property purchases. Existing arrangements are expected to be grandfathered, but many Australians planning to invest this way may now need to rethink their strategy.

Supporters say the changes could improve housing affordability. Critics argue SMSFs make up only a small percentage of the housing market and question whether the reforms will have any real impact.

As a business owner, I never thought a cyber attack would happen to me.

Unfortunately, it did.

The impact was significant, the response initiative costing in excess of $15,000 and it was a powerful reminder that cyber security is not something any business can afford to overlook.

Luckily for Smart Coast, our IT Managed services provider .. The Beach Geek ensured our clients and data were safe and protected from a security breach or the situation would have been disastrous.

If you own a business, I encourage you to take a few minutes to complete a cyber health check and make sure your business is protected before you need it.

Prevention is always easier than recovery.

We have not yet introduced our youngest team member, Sophie.
Sophie joined us last year after completing an internship with Jess through the Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber. She made such a good impression we offered her a job!
Last week Sophie attended her graduation in Sydney after completing her Bachelor of Business and Enterprise.
