Happy election day. We have a proud association with the seat of Groom. The electorate is named after one of our founding partners, Sir Littleton Groom, who served as member for Darling Downs in the early days of the Australian Federal Parliament. He served as Attorney General, appearing in the High Court on a number of constitutional cases, minister in various portfolios, and Speaker of the House. He was a member of parliament from 1901 to 1936. He was highly regarded as a politician and lawyer.

Position Vacant - Law Clerk
We have a position available for a law student in their 2nd or 3rd year to work up to 20 hours per week in our Oakey office. The successful applicant will have good communication skills and strong interpersonal and computer skills. Receptionist/Legal Secretary
We have a vacancy for a full-time receptionist/ legal secretary for our Toowoomba office.
Applicants will possess a high level of communication, inter-personal and computer skills and some previous experience as a receptionist or in administration would be an advantage.
This is an entry level position and may suit a school leaver with an interest in the legal profession.
The Role:
The role will include reception duties, filing, mail collection and delivery, some Dictaphone typing, banking, opening and archiving files, diary management and general secretarial duties.
To be successful in this role you must have:
· Good comprehension and typing skills
· Attention to detail
· Prepare high quality documents Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
· The ability to organise, show initiative and be proactive
· Professional and immaculate presentation Drivers Licence would be an advantage
