Budget Facts:
The Legislation tabled in Federal Parliament this week provides the detail for the changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax.

This list sourced from the legislation is outlining what areas will be determined by Ministerial Discretion - meaning the Treasurer can make changes later.

Investors are going to need a great team of financial advisors, accountants and of course, a property manager who understands rental returns and strategy.

There is still much to absorb from the Federal Budget, and we are yet to see actual Legislation through the Parliament.

However, the Budget Fact Sheet tells us Investors will need to ascertain the value of their asset in June 2027 as any future capital gain will be calculated using the current system for the gain to 1 July 2027 and then the portion of the gain after that date will use the new system.

It's more important than ever to have quality professionals on your side - accountants, financial advisors and of course - great property managers!
