I wish to announce that as of 20 February 2025 Walker Legal and Conveyancing Taree has merged with Finn Roache Lawers. We have also moved our practice across the road to Level 2, 103 Victoria Street Taree (the former offices of Merrick Spicer and Associates - who has also joined Finn Roache).

The merger is part of our strategy to look after our clients and provide the best legal services possible into the future. I believe this move is in the best interests of our clients and will enable us to draw from a far deeper well of legal expertise and experience in areas of law which I had previously been unable to offer. It also ensures continuity for our clients into the future.

I will continue to practice and am available to all, as I have always been (just in a different office across the road! ).

Correspondence has been sent to all clients for whom we are currently undertaking legal work.

I will shortly be sending notice to those for whom we hold deeds, wills and other documents. If you have moved since your wills were done could you please contact our office (still 65524211) to advise of your new address for our records.

On 1 September 2021, the Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit Court of Australia merged to create the new Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA).

With the creation of the new Court, there has been a focus on ensuring that wherever safe to do so, parties have taken reasonable steps to attempt to resolve their dispute via alternative dispute resolution processes, such as negotiations, mediations, conciliations or family counselling. In accordance with the current Health recommendations Walker Legal and Conveyancing will be continuing to service the community however we will be limiting face to face contact and conducting appointments by teleconference where possible.

Should it be necessary for you to attend a conference personally at our firm, perhaps to sign documentation, we would ask that only the necessary person be in attendance and no other person or children are to enter the office.
