A forum for members to receive the latest information on the legal profession and their careers and discuss it with their peers. Responsible usage
General principles of responsible usage apply to our page:
- You can only comment through a facebook account in your real name.
- Respect intellectual property: Don’t post any material which could breach so
meone’s intellectual property rights.
- Don’t post any material that’s false, defamatory, profane, aggressive, insulting, malicious or otherwise inappropriate, or which violates someone’s privacy rights.
- Don’t post material that is likely to bring any person or organisation into disrepute.
- Don’t post any advertising or promotional material.
- Respect the audience: Don’t post anything that you wouldn’t be happy to see on the front page of a newspaper. The spirit of social media
We want our facebook group to promote a free-flowing multi-party conversation, where our members are free to speak their mind without fear of censorship (so long as they stay respectful and adhere to our responsible usage policy). From our end that means that we’ll try not to be heavy-handed in moderating the page. From your end, we ask that you don’t engage in one-way conversations or start multiple conversations before others have had the chance to reply. We reserve the right not to show posts
We’ve edited our settings so that posts won’t appear in our public timeline until we approve them. Where a person doesn’t abide by these rules or general rules of courtesy, we reserve the right not to let posts appear or even block you from the page. It’s your responsibility as a legal professional to be aware of and adhere to client confidentiality and ethical considerations when posting any material. We don’t endorse the comments or opinion expressed on this page, or by participants.
