Each May, we mark Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence. One aspect of DFV that can be hard to identify is financial abuse.
Financial abuse is a form of domestic and family violence where a partner or ex-partner uses money to control you. This includes limiting your access to money or creating debts in your name.
