Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the 33rd Annual Ladies’ Luncheon at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel Ballroom in support of a truly wonderful cause. A heartfelt thank you to Tori Huxtable for inviting us to this Charity Ladies Luncheon.

Did you know that 1 in 20 children face a birth defect or genetic disease? The statistics are alarming — and that’s exactly why the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) exists.

We were fortunate to hear from some remarkable speakers, including Liz Hayes, renowned Australian journalist from 60 Minutes on Channel 9, and Dr Kate Zyner, Computational Systems Biologist at CMRI. Dr Zyner shared incredible breakthroughs made possible through the generosity of supporters funding CMRI’s vital research. Their work continues to push boundaries, improving outcomes and giving hope to future generations. Every dollar raised directly helps CMRI discover treatments and tackle the most pressing health challenges affecting our children.

The atmosphere was inspiring, the food was exceptional, and our Table 33 was full of wonderful company — with one of our own even taking home the 1st raffle prize draw!

From chocolate overload to laughter-filled moments, today was all about joy, fun, and a little friendly competition with some creative Easter games. We topped it all off by indulging in delicious, spicy, gooey hot cross buns — the perfect festive treat!
