It is with pleasure tinged with sadness that Martin Bullock Lawyers announces that we have closed our Parramatta office.

For longstanding clients, you will know that we have been at 144 Marsden Street, 34 Charles Street and then at 93 George Street for the last 40 years.

We will still maintain our presence in Parramatta, but given changing economic conditions, technology, human resources issues and age, we have moved into the city. Our new address is:

The Gateway
Level 36
1 Macquarie Place
SYDNEY NSW 2000

Our telephone and email details remain exactly the same. If you have any documents such as wills, powers of attorney or certificates of title lodged with us in safe custody, rest assured they will remain in safe custody with us, unless you wish them returned them to you. We will continue to maintain the highest standards in relation to those documents.

Mr Martin and his staff will continue to provide excellent and flexible service, cost effective solutions, and personal and professional advice.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

From Greg and the team at Martin Bullock Lawyers.

The Father, a recent film starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, has gained critical acclaim for its harrowing and often brutal depiction of what it is like to live with dementia.

I so want to see this film. My father got Alzheimer’s disease at a young age, and my mother got it in her 80s. I saw what it did and I still weep for the fear, the claustrophobia, the moments of clarity and joy, the fog of unknowing and loss.

I urge you to watch this film. It will give you some understanding of why it is important to have discussions with your family, with your parents and with your children in relation to what you want.

Today is International Women’s Day! It is both a celebration of womanhood and a protest against society’s treatment of women.

"For us to progress and move forward and be something mighty, which Australia can be, we have to learn to listen. Listen to the stories that are being told and bring a better understanding of who we are as a nation."
- Leah Purcell

Today, 8th March, is International Women’s Day! It is both a celebration of womanhood and a protest against society’s treatment of women. On International Women’s Day we celebrate the achievements of powerful and influential women throughout history. We also use this day to fight for positive ...

A toxic workplace culture is one where harmful attitudes such as misogyny and racism are ingrained within the structures and systems of the workplace. It is one where these attitudes and behaviours are so commonplace that they are simply accepted as a part of the organisation and often go unchallenged.

Multiple recent allegations in federal parliament clearly display a toxic workplace culture.

Multiple recent allegations in federal parliament clearly display a toxic workplace culture. Earlier this year, allegations were published that Brittany Higgins, a staffer at Parliament House, was r***d inside the defence industry minister’s office. In 2020, the NSW government passed a number of changes to our defamation laws.

These are good changes that update the law to reflect the growth of digital technology and protect both freedom of expression and victims of defamation.

The NSW government passed the Defamation Amendment Bill 2020 (NSW) on 6 August 2020, making NSW the first state in Australia to step toward legislative changes in accordance with the new Australian Model Defamation Provisions. As our principal Greg Martin says: “These are good changes, which will ...

Our Story

Let us tell you a little bit more about Martin Bullock Lawyers.

Greg Martin has been a solicitor and attorney since 1984, practicing in all areas of court work. He has worked for legal aid, large commercial firms in the city, and has been a partner in a large Parramatta firm.

Greg set up his own business in 2001 – Martin Lawyers – and in 2005 it merged with Ian Bullock Partners to form Martin Bullock Lawyers. We have been a major firm in Parramatta since 1968.

Greg has also been a lecturer at Western Sydney University since 2008 in Criminal Law, Contracts, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Advanced Torts. The ability to both mentor and influence young, intelligent minds, who will be the future of our community, is one of the things that Greg loves best about teaching and lecturing, and he hopes to continue lecturing at Western Sydney University into the future.
