Masters number 2 finally done and dusted!

I am so excited to announce that I have been awarded a Master of Criminal Practice. Completing this Masters Degree has been the one of the most challenging, rewarding and life-changing experiences of my career.

I am thankful to my amazing family and friends who supported me throughout and who provided much needed encouragement to me towards the end while I was completing the thesis component of the degree and starting to quite literally lose the plot!

I look forward to continuing to apply everything that I've learnt, to the defence of my clients and to the development of my practice

It is incredibly rewarding to act for people who have been victims of serious abuse and trauma, and then go on to be charged with criminal offences.

The proceedings can be their first opportunity to tell their story and be heard.

With the right material and strong submissions, this can result in the dismissal of all charges or a better outcome on sentence.

This matter involved a victim of serious childhood neglect and trauma, which made her more vulnerable to the many forms of abuse she went on to suffer later on in life.

Extensive material was collated and tendered supporting the client's application and all matters were ultimately dismissed.
