‼Australian Border Reopens for Certain Australian Visa Subclasses from 1 December 2021!

In welcome news, the Australian Government announced that Australian Borders will re-open 1 December 2021 to fully vaccinated eligible visa holders. This will mean the end of travel exemptions for these specified visa holders who will be free to enter Australia after this date.

The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that Australia’s borders have been strictly closed since March 2020. Entry to Australia is heavily monitored only available to Australian citizens, permanent residents or in circumstances where individuals have been granted an exemption. In no circumstances has this exemption been extended or granted to individuals with visitor or tourism intentions.
