800 CLIENTS FOR BUCKLEY LAWYERS

When I launched Buckley Lawyers in 2020 from our Martin Place office, I had a clear vision - but not a full sense of the impact we would go on to have.

Since opening our doors, we’ve now helped over 800 clients resolve their matters with professionalism, care, and efficiency. Each matter represents someone placing their trust in us, and that responsibility is something we take seriously every day.

I’m incredibly grateful to our team for their dedication and high standards, and proud of what we’ve built together so far. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing and helping even more people navigate important moments with confidence.

LITIGATION FUNDING

This morning I caught up with Samantha Boyce and Lana Wainer Lakofski from Partways — the team supporting clients through litigation funding in family law matters. ☕

It was great to discuss how Partways helps clients access financial support during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. I understand that they provide an affordable service and process applications very promptly.That kind of turnaround is invaluable when navigating complex court proceedings.

Access to justice shouldn’t depend on financial capacity, and services like theirs make a real difference. Looking forward to continuing to work together to support clients in meaningful and practical ways.

7 MATTERS RESOLVED IN A WEEK

Over the past week, our Team successfully resolved 7 family law matters, some of which had been tied up in the court system for over two years.

For the families involved, these outcomes mean closure, clarity, and the ability to finally move forward with their lives.

While every case is unique, the common thread is always the same, family law is about people, not paperwork. It’s about listening, advocating and finding solutions that work in reality, not just in theory.

I’m proud of the work our Team has done to achieve these results, but even prouder of the resilience of our clients who trusted the process, stayed the course and now have a brighter path ahead.

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS IN BUSINESS

On 1 July 2020, I started Buckley Lawyers Pty Ltd. Starting the lawfirm on the first day of the financial year, in the middle of a pandemic seemed like a great idea, however if you have a vision, nothing can stop you.

Reflecting over the past 5 years, it’s great to be able to be an advocate for those who are not able to advocate for themselves. Along the way I’ve also discovered that I have a superpower……The ability to be able to build trust and confidence with a client over a very short period of time.

As the principal of the firm, it’s very rewarding knowing that we turn up to work each day fighting the good fight. Great team, great clients, great results.

600 CLIENTS FOR BUCKLEY LAWYERS

Yesterday marked a milestone for the firm. Since I started Buckley Lawyers Pty Ltd 4 1/2 years ago, we have assisted 600 different clients with their respective legal issues.

As the leader of Buckley Lawyers, and chief rainmaker for the firm, it’s pleasing that new clients have consistently been attracted to our services over the years. I put this down to 2 key factors that we do better than most others in the market.

Court litigation is a stressful time for all parties involved, however as a lawyer, my primary objective is to focus on resolving matters.
It’s nice therefore to start the year with some positive feedback from a client for a job well done.

As solicitor advocates, a significant amount of our time is involved with representing clients in court. November has been our busiest month on record in which we have represented clients in court proceedings and attended mediations on their behalf.

In a time of busyness, it’s always important to take some time out and reflect with the Team and celebrate success.

I’m pleased to announce our newest superstar to join Buckley Lawyers, Liam O'Brien who started this morning as a graduate lawyer.

In his spare time Liam referees rugby league and will be involved with the Australian Secondary Schools National Championships next month.

As a rugby union referee myself, it’s great to see individuals giving their time to the community to facilitate community engagement.

It’s not an easy job refereeing competitive sport however I’m sure the on field experiences will serve Liam well in his new career in law.

We are excited to have Liam on board.
