This visa is for recent graduates of Australian educational institutions and offers the opportunity to live, work, and gain valuable post-study experience in Australia temporarily.

The Temporary Graduate Visa has two streams:

• Post-Vocational Education Work Stream: Previously known as the Graduate Work Stream, this stream focuses on international students who have completed trade qualifications or diplomas in Australia, aligning with national skills shortages.

• Post-Higher Education Work Stream: Formerly the Post-Study Work Stream, this stream is designed for graduates with higher education qualifications, emphasising their alignment with Australia's skill needs.
Eligibility requirements include:

• Holding an eligible Student Visa within the last 6 months.
• Meeting the Australian Study Requirement.
• Demonstrating sufficient English language proficiency.

The new Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL), effective from December 7, 2024, incorporates 16 new or modified ANZSCO occupations. There are 189 additional occupations now offering a direct pathway through the Employer Nomination Scheme (186 visa).

The CSOL consolidates previous occupation lists into a single, comprehensive framework. With 456 eligible occupations, the CSOL supports the Core Skills stream of the new Skills in Demand (SID) 482 visa.
