While the position does not require direct experience in migration, if you have experience in the migration industry your application will be highly regarded and we’d especially love to hear from you! For candidates with relevant migration industry experience, we are open to considering a specific salary that is commensurate with your experience, skills, and level of responsibility.

More nomination places for the Northern Territory 📈

NT has received 1,850 nomination places for the 2026–27 skilled migration program, up from 1,650 last year.
The increase comes from the Subclass 491 visa, which has increased from 800 to 1,000 places, while Subclass 190 remains at 850 places.

New nomination applications are now open for:
✔ All onshore streams
✔ Selected offshore streams

Please note that not all offshore pathways are open, and eligibility depends on the relevant stream and your individual circumstances.

The Subclass 482 visa has no age requirement, but age is only one factor.

Your sponsor, nominated position, skills and experience, occupation, salary, employment arrangements and English requirements can all be relevant.

And if permanent residency is part of your long-term plan, it’s worth thinking ahead, as some permanent visa pathways may have age limits or exemptions.

New Registrations of Interest are expected to open on 17 August 2026, with changes to the 2026–27 program:

🔸 Updated priority attributes and points
🔸 Nomination fee increased to $425.70 including GST
🔸 ROI submission remains free
🔸 No invitations under the Subclass 491 Overseas Skilled Occupation pathway for 2026–27

Eligible overseas applicants in health, allied health or education with a qualifying Tasmanian job offer may still be considered under the Subclass 190 Overseas Applicant pathway.
