Last week, we were delighted to attend the Malls & Stores of the Future Summit in Melbourne.

Our Chief Operating Officer, Aatef Khayat, joined industry leaders in both a fireside chat and panel discussion to share how service providers can leverage augmented data sets to drive better operational outcomes.

While our industry is human at its core, the opportunity lies in using data, AI and robotics to augment, not replace, the workforce.

We’re particularly excited about the convergence of robotics and AI, and how this will enable service providers to become an even more integrated part of the decision-making ecosystem, working alongside both digital tools and frontline teams.

Importantly, we believe in disrupting ourselves before someone else does.

A focused, on-the-ground waste initiative led by Glad Group’s Cleaning team – in partnership with our client – has delivered real impact.

In just three weeks:
🔹 General waste dropped by 28.1%
🔹 Diversion rate rose to 72.8%
🔹 Dock areas became cleaner and more efficient

On 5 March, we hosted our International Women’s Day Leadership Forum, bringing together women from across the business to discuss how we can better support and advance women into leadership roles.

Welcomed by our Chief Executive Officer Steve Iloski, Chief Operating Officer Aatef Khayat and Group Director Operations & Service Delivery Neranje Dunuwille, participants engaged in an open and collaborative discussion focused on strengthening pathways from frontline positions into management.

Facilitated by Prabha Nandagopal, a leading human rights and discrimination lawyer, the forum encouraged meaningful dialogue and generated practical recommendations to support women’s leadership progression across the business.

Yesterday a group of women from across our business came together for an International Women’s Day event, designed as a launchpad for ongoing conversations about how we can better support and lift up women at Glad Group.

Facilitated by Prabha Nandagopal, an award-winning human rights and discrimination lawyer and advocate, the solution-oriented session created a space for a robust and frank conversation about the barriers women can face in the workplace – particularly in traditionally male-dominated industries such as security – and tangible actions Glad Group can take to better support women across all service lines of our business.

Designed to be the first of many ongoing conversations, we’re excited to continue the dialogue and see meaningful progress in the months ahead.
