Electronic Wills and Online Witnessing Committee Electronic Wills & Online Witnessing Committee (EWOWC) is a volunteer organisation at the forefront of Australasian esigning law.

We have BHAGs that will improve access to justice and make efficient through technology the integration of documents and life We formed in March 2020, when COVID-19 first hit Melbourne, Victoria to assist clients and lawyers ensure that legal transactions could be completed through esigning. Our compliment has changed since then but our Chair remains as one of the Founders. We're always interested

in interacting with like minds and invite applications from prospective volunteers in law, policy, technology, cyber and privacy.

When signing your documents and witnessing the signature of others, it's crucial to get the details and process right.

As discussed in my article in this month's Law Institute of Victoria's Law Institute Journal, while we have taken leaps forward in Australia since COVID-19, there's much work to be done in this space.

That's why the Electronic Wills and Online Witnessing Committee continues its work and are delighted to be recruiting across the country for those interested in pushing the digital envelope in an ethical, robust, considered way toward a national scheme.
