We are pleased to share some wonderful news from our firm.

Tom Monks has been officially reappointed as a Member of the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) for a further five-year term, commencing 1 July 2026 and concluding 30 June 2031.

The MCB's official letter recognised Tom's contribution as being "instrumental in shaping key decisions and guiding the organisation's strategic direction."

We are incredibly proud of Tom's dedication to public service and community leadership. This reappointment is a testament to the hard work and commitment he brings to everything he does.

The thing about navigating a legal situation on your own is this.

You don't know what you don't know.

"I didn't realise I had options" is something we hear in our office constantly.

Tom Monks was recently invited to join CurtinFM's The Afternoon Show to discuss the NDIS and answer live questions from callers.

The conversation covered navigating the NDIS, its positive and negative impacts, and the balance between what people with disability actually need and what often gets left behind in the system.

Tom responded directly to listeners with real questions about eligibility, plan reviews, assessments, and funding. The NDIS has opened doors for many Australians, but it also creates hurdles that can leave essential needs unmet.

Today marks 5 years since we opened Tom & Co Legal in Perth, and honestly, we're feeling pretty emotional about it!
