Our client appeared before the Supreme Court seeking release on bail, facing charges carrying a maximum of life imprisonment.

The Prosecution alleged that that our client was involved in the supply of a large commercial amount of co***ne, over 1 kilogram of the drug. The Prosecution further alleged that our client was part of the Comanchero OMCG and therefore bail should be refused.

After a convincing release application by our office and Queens Counsel, the learned Justice of the Supreme Court was of the view that the case was not strong and therefore bail was granted.

Today our client came before the Supreme Court seeking release on Bail after being charged with the Murder of Sydney underworld figure.

After months and months of careful preparation by the team at Abbas Jacobs Lawyers, weaknesses in the Crown case were exposed and a successful Bail Application was executed by Queens Counsel Greg James, AM and Junior Counsel Damian Beaufils. GREAT RESULT:

In a precedent making judgment, our client was charged with the Large Commercial Supply of Methylamphetamine also commonly known as the drug Ice (2kg Supply).

After lengthy and tedious negotiations our legal team managed to reach a plea deal that eventually allowed our client the best possible outcome at Sentence.

Furthermore, extensive efforts went into the preparation of the voluminous amount of subjective material which ensured that our clients’ circumstances were properly and effectively put before the learned Judge.

On the day of Sentence, our legal team alongside the Honourable Greg James, AM QC, of counsel manage to obtain an unprecedented result.

Our client was not sentenced to a term of full time imprisonment and was afforded the opportunity to serve his sentence in the community by way of an Intensive Corrections Order (ICO).
